Codonopsis (Dang Shen) Benefits

Codonopsis, known as Dang Shen in China, is a well-known herb in Traditional Chinese Medicine as an excellent blood builder and Qi tonic (Qi is a term for our life force, the energy that animates us). It has a fabulous array of benefits for all ages, young and old, including;


  • Blood building - Codonopsis is an excellent blood builder increasing haemoglobin and red blood cells whilst lowering blood pressure. It is great for people with anaemia or have been through an illness and are generally weak.
